Fluorescence and Brightfield Imaging with ZEISS Axioscan 7

The ZEISS Axioscan 7 is the latest technological enhancement at Wax-it, offering cutting-edge features for high-throughput and high-resolution imaging of histological and cytological samples. This slide scanner is adept at both fluorescent and brightfield microscopy:

  • Fluorescent Microscopy: The LED-powered Axioscan 7 minimizes fluorescence exposure times and focuses high-intensity light on small sample areas. This technology enables high-speed batch scanning without dye bleaching, producing clear, smooth, whole section images with high contrast and low noise.
  • High Multiplex Imaging: The Axioscan 7 features a sophisticated, fast-switching filter cube system that captures over five fluorescent channels without spectral overlap, crucial for complex immunofluorescence studies.

The ZEISS Axioscan 7 also incorporates powerful image analysis software with capabilities like multi-round fluorescent staining alignment, deconvolution, and machine learning-based quantification for both immunofluorescence and brightfield images.

Brightfield Whole Slide Scanning with Leica Aperio AT2

The Leica Aperio AT2, renowned for its use in clinical laboratories, features color-calibrated monitors that enable high-throughput brightfield imaging. This scanner can digitize hundreds of slides per session, capturing images perfectly suited for a wide range of tissue morphologies and stain types, including H&E, special stains, and IHC stains. The Aperio ImageScope software facilitates semi-automated quantification techniques such as positive pixel count, average positive pixels, and total staining intensity.
